About Us and How We Came Up With The Name
There are profound moments in life where a sudden incident changes your path and impacts how you view your future. On October 25th, 2024, we had one of those moments and it has changed our lives forever. From the beginning, as long as I can remember, my husband Brad, and I have loved tattoos. At the time, there weren't many shops and the ones available usually inhabited the sullen biker guy who didn't really care what you wanted or how perfect the tattoo needed to be, he was just there to make a bit of cash. The other option was a well-known named shop with artists that were young and had the popular shop name behind them so their goal was to spin out as many tattoos as they could to make a bigger name for themselves. As the years progressed and new shops with refreshing new artists came along, we started to see the love of the art start to show more. Our son, Joseff, who grew up watching us get more and more ink and being a proficient drawing artist himself decided he wanted to leave the world of the auto body paint profession and learn to tattoo. His progress was as impressive as his drawing art had always been and Brad and I couldn't wait to see what an amazing tattoo artist he would become. We were so very proud. Then came that fateful day. Along with tattoos we all had a love of motorcycles, street and dirt, and spent the years riding together as the three of us. Unfortunately, it only takes one driver's poor decision to end the world we knew and my Brad, along with his beloved street bike, were met with a terrible end. Our world was forever broken and in the midst of the chaos, Joseff knew he needed to be the man of the family now which to him meant giving up his new tattoo career and going back into paint. I didn't want that for him and knew his love of tattooing was something he just couldn't waste. It was with many tears and great memories that we decided to honor Brad with his love of tattoos by opening up our own shop and naming it for him. 215 is named for Brad and was the number on his dirt bike. This shop is a representation of our family and our friends, including the amazing Tau, who has been a great support for Joseff in this crazy endeavor. We will honor Brad and his love for tattoos and make sure our shop represents a fun, happy environment where you feel like you are spending a great time with friends. Brad would have loved this shop, and I know he is watching over us all, including 215 Ink, where his memory is ingrained in every moment. Stay safe and cherish every moment with the ones you love, tomorrow is never promised.
